Endoscopy is a high tech minimally invasive procedure that allows the Vet to see and record a live image of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts. It involves the passing of a tube with a tiny camera on the end into the body. Diagnosis of some conditions can be achieved by taking small biopsies of the structures. In some situations it can also be used to retrieve foreign bodies such as fishhooks & grass seeds that your pet may have accidentally swallowed.
