Practice Principal

Hi, I’m Ross Kelly, the owner of Cedarwood Veterinary Practice.
I qualified from The University of Glasgow in 1989 and moved immediately to Suffolk, where I spent the next 14 years in a very mixed practice before leaving in 2003 for a 5 year stint in industry. My time in a huge multinational company taught me, perhaps surprisingly, a great deal about the most important aspect of veterinary practice, namely client & patient care – an aspect about which way too many vets pay only lip service.
It was with this in the forefront of my plans that I stepped back into veterinary practice, setting up Cedarwood Veterinary Practice with a massive amount of help and support from my girlfriend Helen. We opened the doors in 2008 & since then have grown steadily, with our ethos to constantly keep client & patient care at the heart of what we do. Life outside of work, we are basically nomads, spending most of our time outdoors. Helen and I married in St.Lucia in 2012 with 35 of our friends & family around us and honeymooned mostly under the Caribbean Sea with an aqualung.
At home, we spend a lot of our time, whatever the weather, under canvas somewhere or other along with our amphibious black Labradog, Alfie. Sometimes this will be as Scouts… I have been a leader for almost 30 years now (saves growing up completely, after all!)

Hannah Rogers BVetMed MRCVS

Head Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and spent the first 7 years practicing in a small independent veterinary group in Kent, my home county. Here I quickly learnt a wide range of surgical skills including thoracic, soft tissue and orthopaedics. Whilst here I officiated at greyhound stadia and treated a range of athletic injuries in this breed whose gentle but cheeky temperament always make them a joy to work with. In 2013 I left Kent for a change of scenery and ended up in a corporate practice in Cambridgeshire for a while before settling in Suffolk and getting married in April 2016. Outside of work I keep myself busy helping out at Church and enjoy countless walks with the dogs (Ebony and Zorro) exploring the Suffolk countryside.

In my spare time I enjoy horse riding, walking my dogs, going to the gym and seeing friends and family. I have a very cute, cuddly white teddy bear called Albert (My Bichon Frise), a very cheeky chocolate Labrador called George and a naughty cat called Ralph.

I am a registered nurse and started working here at Cedarwood in Aug 2016. I began my veterinary career working in a mixed first opinion practice in north wales before moving to a multi-displinary referral hospital in Cheshire, I worked there for a few years before I moved to the Suffolk area. I live here with my husband Stephen and two cats Freddie and Louie. I love being an RVN and enjoy my job very much; I am particularly interested in surgical nursing and anaesthesia.

I’m Rachele. I’m a part time receptionist here at Cedarwood Veterinary Practice, Suffolk. I’ve had 10 years of veterinary reception experience and have recently restarted work after a break to start a family.
I live just outside of Stowmarket with my husband and two young children. I have a seven year old (sometimes Golden) Retriever called Oscar, a Syrian hamster called Milkshake and a variety of tropical fish.
I love to have family days out at the beach, country walks with Oscar, swimming with the children, catching up with friends, shopping and un-winding at the end of the day with a great horror novel by Karen Slaughter.
