Hi, I’m Ross Kelly, the owner of Cedarwood Veterinary Practice.
I qualified from The University of Glasgow in 1989 and moved immediately to Suffolk, where I spent the next 14 years in a very mixed practice before leaving in 2003 for a 5 year stint in industry. My time in a huge multinational company taught me, perhaps surprisingly, a great deal about the most important aspect of veterinary practice, namely client & patient care – an aspect about which way too many vets pay only lip service.
It was with this in the forefront of my plans that I stepped back into veterinary practice, setting up Cedarwood Veterinary Practice with a massive amount of help and support from my girlfriend Helen. We opened the doors in 2008 & since then have grown steadily, with our ethos to constantly keep client & patient care at the heart of what we do. Life outside of work, we are basically nomads, spending most of our time outdoors. Helen and I married in St.Lucia in 2012 with 35 of our friends & family around us and honeymooned mostly under the Caribbean Sea with an aqualung.
At home, we spend a lot of our time, whatever the weather, under canvas somewhere or other along with our amphibious black Labradog, Alfie. Sometimes this will be as Scouts… I have been a leader for almost 30 years now (saves growing up completely, after all!)

Carmen Tudorache DVM MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, my name is Carmen Tudorache and I work as a veterinary surgeon. I graduaded in 2004 and took my Masters degree in 2006. My husband and I moved to Stowmarket in November 2014; we are both from Romania. We have a 6 year old Jack Russell terrier named “Daffy” and a Chihuahua cross named “Marc”. It has been quite a journey moving all the way across the Europe, but we have been blessed with a lot of new friends and experiences. I have always enjoyed having pets and can’t imagine life without them. When I’m not working, I enjoy exercising, walking my dogs, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Jenny Reason BVSc MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, I'm Jenny and I joined Cedarwood vets in 2016 when I moved back to the area after a few years working in north Suffolk. I was brought up in Needham Market and trained as a vet at Liverpool University. I am currently undertaking my certificate of advanced veterinary practice in small animal surgery and hope to complete this by the end of 2017. I have a keen interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery as well as feline medicine. At home I have a whippet cross Alfie and 2 rescue cats Alice and Rusty. Outside of work I enjoy Athletics, cycling and walking about the countryside.
I am married and have one daughter. Away from work I enjoy spending time with my family and looking after our animals’ which include a Jack Russell Terrier “Polly” (you will often see Polly behind the reception desk) three horses, a pony and three cats.

Sophie Stevens BVetMed MRCVS

Hannah Rogers BVetMed MRCVS

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and spent the first 7 years practicing in a small independent veterinary group in Kent, my home county. Here I quickly learnt a wide range of surgical skills including thoracic, soft tissue and orthopaedics. Whilst here I officiated at greyhound stadia and treated a range of athletic injuries in this breed whose gentle but cheeky temperament always make them a joy to work with. In 2013 I left Kent for a change of scenery and ended up in a corporate practice in Cambridgeshire for a while before settling in Suffolk and getting married in April 2016. Outside of work I keep myself busy helping out at Church and enjoy countless walks with the dogs (Ebony and Zorro) exploring the Suffolk countryside.

Now I'm back working in sunny Suffolk, I'm saving to go back into education to study Veterinary Medicine. I have my own very naughty cat Duke (more commonly known as Dude!). Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, volunteering at the Suffolk Punch Trust and going out for dinner (a lot!) with my partner.
